WHAT WE’RE EATING
Every month when I am writing this post, this is the section that I have the hardest time with! We EAT THE SAME THINGS so there’s never anything new or fun to share! I will say that one new thing that I’ve really been enjoying lately is this probiotic yogurt from Cocoyo.
I did a taste test video on IG and I’ve been really liking to use this yogurt as a base for a homemade parfait with granola & semi-sweet chocolate chunks. Is it sad that this is all I have to share for my “What We’re Eating”??? I don’t think I’m a foodie … LOL
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT
This little girl is turning TEN years old next month 😱I don’t think I’m old enough to have a ten year old ….
Feels like just yesterday that she was this little…
She’s grown so much and overcome so much already in her ten years of life 😭
WHAT I’M LOVING
I’ll admit that the time change with Daylight Savings has been rough for my early AM wake times BUT I’m loving all the extra sunlight that we get at the end of the day. With the warm weather, the longer days just make me long for summer all the more. Can’t wait!
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO
It’s spring break for us! I love having my kids home together … they’re all at an age where they don’t *really*need me 24/7 and play really well together. The weather this week has been phenomenal too so there’s been lots of outside time and with J still WFH due to COVID, it sort of feels like we’re on vacation even though we’re just at home. As a professional homebody, I am not complaining about this at all.
WHAT I’M DREADING
I wouldn’t say that I’m dreading this per se but we’re about to enter what is probably the busiest season for our family. April is absolutely nutso – my entire month is already packed with things going on every single weekend. All fun and good things! But I’m a little nervous about finding the time to make sure I’m resting properly 🙂
WHAT I’M WORKING ON
We have TWO birthdays in our family next month and since last year, neither of my April babies got big birthday celebrations, I’m working on planning some fun parties/gatherings. I’m still keeping things relatively small and outdoors but it’s nice to be able to plan gatherings again.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT
ZOMG – this book series (Shadow & Bone) is about to be released as a TV show on Netflix next month and I CANNNOT WAIT. My favorite book gals and I already have a staycation planned so we can binge watch the entire series in one weekend together. Bwahahaha, SO EXCITED.
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING
I’m reading this right now …
And watching THIS:
Fun fact: I don’t let myself watch TV (most of the time) unless I’m actively exercising on a machine. I try to have a rule of thumb that if I’m bored and have downtime then I should be reading a book, not watching TV. Of course there are exceptions buuuuuut that’s what I try to stick to. So, LOL, how that ends up working out is that I don’t really watch a lot of TV LOLOLOL. Because if I’m real, I hate cardio so I’m never on my cardio machines that I have at home as often as I plan to be. But I’m REALLY loving this drama that I just started watching so I’ve been doing more cardio than I usually do just so I can watch.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO
Carrie Underwood just dropped a new gospel (?) album of hymns and I’ve been loving listening to it … it’s perfect for Easter this weekend too!
WHAT I’M WEARING
Other than my Comfy, I’ve been wearing a lot of “easy” clothes like the looks I featured in my “Week of Outfits” post earlier this month. This also reminds me – I have an update/reflection to my Q1 Low Buy Challenge coming later this week!
WHAT IM DOING THIS WEEKEND
It’s Easter this weekend! Traditionally, in my friend group I am the one who hosts Easter at my house. I’ve been hosting Easter for .. I think at least the last 6 years..?? The only time I skipped a year was the year I gave birth to A because that year she was born on Good Friday so I was literally 2 days postpartum. I’m also hoping to get my gardener friend and her engineer husband back out to my house on Saturday so we can finish my garden boxes 😬 … fingers crossed … I promised to feed her whole family if they come so we shall see.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH
Celebrating these two beautiful girls turning 10 and 4 years old!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW
I think that’s it … I don’t have anything else new to share! I’m off to enjoy the day with my kids!

I’m catching up on reading my What’s Up Wednesday posts a lot late 🙂 My daughter turns 10 in June and I am like, “HOW can that be?!!??!” I hope your kiddos April birthdays have been so celebratory! We all need a little excitement after this past year.

Aw how sweet! We have one April birthday down and one left to go! I agree that we need a little excitement this year compared to last year 🙂
