HAPPY MONDAY everyone! Lolz! I hope the weekend was refreshing and relaxing. I, on the other hand, am pretty sure I’m coming down with a cold … I was fighting a tickle in my throat all of last week and today I have absolutely zero energy. Le sigh – anyhow, here’s my Top 10!
ONE
I started off my weekend with a workout! Be on the lookout for a #75Hard update coming soon … I’m 3 weeks in and have some thoughts to share lol.
TWO
As soon as I came home from my workout on Sat morning, I noticed all the kids were not in their beds. I walked into OUR room and lo & behold – three little monkeys harassing their daddy hahaha. A definite Top 10 moment for me.
THREE
D started his spring semester of Korean school on Saturday and I had a glorious few hours of free time while he was in school. I went to Starbucks with my work wifey and sister from another mister, D, and we read/worked/chilled. I love quiet productive mornings!
FOUR
Later on Saturday, we loaded up all the kids in the car and headed down to our favorite Korean market/Korean restaurant. I think I’ve mentioned this before but we don’t live near a good K grocery store so we have to actually plan to go to one, and we usually stock up on everything and then eat dinner near the grocery store. My favorite thing to get is bossam! *PS – peep that little piece of food that fell onto my sweater LOL
FIVE
Our kids know that whenever we go to the K grocery store, they get to pick a little snack/treat to eat on the car ride home. They always love to pick Pocky sticks 🙂 True story: Baby A ate the entire box on the car ride home (it’s a long ride) and was SO amped up on sugar, she was singing “Into the Unknown” at the top of her lungs way after we tucked her into bed.
SIX
We also stopped by the mall before completing our drive back home. We were about to go into a fancy store to look at something and Hubby pulled all three kids aside to give them a pep talk about how to behave before we walked in (no running, no touching things, NO SCREAMING). I love their serious little faces LOLOLOL. Also … pep talk didn’t work >___<
SEVEN
I was feeling pretty tired & rough by Saturday night. But … I literally had put off folding laundry ALL week and knew it needed to get done that day. Imagine my surprise when I start to pull out the clean laundry … and find that Hubby already folded everything except for my little basket of clean clothes. It only took me 15 minutes to fold everything and then I got to go straight to bed. YAY!!
EIGHT
So a few months out of the year, Hubby & I serve in the 3 year old Sunday school class at our church. I think it’s SO hilarious to watch Hubby try and round up a bunch of 3 year olds. You guys, he brings a whistle to Sunday school and he uses it to command their attention! LIKE CAPTAIN VON TRAPP FROM THE SOUND OF MUSIC. I actually did have to tell him to reign it in a little bit because a few of the more sensitive kids seemed a little scared of him. (Which, if you know him IRL at all, is hilarious, because he’s the biggest softie ever.)
NINE
Sunday after church, I had a mani/pedi booked with a sweet friend, S. I tell her that she’s my spirit animal because I feel like we have very similar .. personalities? Or just how we think about/approach things gels very well together. We both agreed to bring our respective books and not talk to each other during the mani/pedi (a) for mutual relaxation and (b) because have you ever tried to have a conversation with someone while getting your nails done? You have to cock your head to one side for, like, an hour straight to talk to them, and your neck HURTS by the end. I love friends that I can be silent with and who get me.
TEN
We rounded out the weekend by heading over to the same friend’s house to watch the Super Bowl. Actually, I barely watched it but I DID enjoy all the yummy food she prepared! And our kids had so much fun playing together (we both have 3 kids, all very close in age – our first borns are a year apart, our middles are born on exactly the same day, and our maknaes are three weeks apart).
Special bonus Top 10 but no picture – I finally finished reading the darn Book of Life by Deborah Harkness that I’ve had in my possession since, literally, last November. DONE! I feel so good to be finished with it hahaha!
