I usually like to do a Top 10 post for my weekends but with this past weekend being a long holiday weekend, I had a really hard time narrowing it down to just ten top moments. So I’m just doing a general weekend recap for you guys today! Let’s jump in!
On Saturday morning, it was the first weekend morning in a few weeks when I wasn’t rushing off to try and catch a Bar Method class. I usually don’t go to Bar Method on the weekends but with that crazy 20-class challenge I talked about in my last post, I was having to squeeze in classes on every possible day I could. It was nice to sleep in a little and get up/ready with the kids.
As soon as I got up, I happened to walk by D’s room as he was already awake and noticed that he was quietly reading a BOOK to himself!! Be still my mama heart!
I also went in to get baby A when I heard her moving around in her crib but realized she’d probably been awake for awhile because I saw that she had arranged her Elsa dollies like so LOL:
How stinkin’ cute is that!? Also, here’s a picture of baby A licking the jam off her toast at breakfast… gross…
D has Korean language school on Sat mornings (tiger mom, rawr!) so I dropped him off at that after breakfast and then headed to the mall to run some errands. Look at how blue the sky is in mid-February! California weather is unreal, guys (we’re also having a major drought so … you know. Lol, two sides to every coin).
I ran some errands and then headed to my SoulCycle class! If you’ve never taken a SoulCycle class but you’ve tried other spin classes let me just say… THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. They’re really so so so different. I think I’m slowly getting addicted to SoulCycle. Intense cardio is not my favorite way to sweat but I always feel amazing after 45 minutes in a Soul class.
The rest of Saturday afternoon was pretty uneventful … we watched a lot of Frozen 2 again and again hahahha.
But at NIGHT we took the kids to … *drumroll here* CHUCK E CHEESE! It was pretty much all their first times going. D had gone ONCE before for a friend’s birthday party and was pretty obsessed with it immediately and begged for us to all go back again. The kids had a great time and I was honestly more impressed than I thought I would be. This location was clearly a newer one, the games seemed newer and it looked relatively clean inside. Even baby A … who I guess I’ll have to stop referring to as “baby” A, was having the time of her life just running all around the inside of the arcade. She kind of looked like a big kid 🙁
Saturday was a later night because of Chuck E Cheese which meant on Sunday, we were all sort of scrambling to make it to church on time (spoiler alert: we were still late :/). Baby A was having some kind of meltdown in the car – I honestly can’t keep track of all the things she gets upset about anymore – when she suddenly quieted down. Hubby and I peeked in the backseat to see that E was holding her hand!!!! I’m telling you, these two are starting to form a real sister bond and this mama is LOVING IT!
After church, family lunch together. Again, two sisters in a pod 🙂
Later on Sunday night, I had my podcast cohost come over because we were going to record our Feb podcast episode (out now on Spotify and iTunes!!!). I asked Hubby to watch baby A but she still managed to barrel through three doors to hunt mommy down. As soon as she discovered me in the closet, she plopped down on my lap and refused to leave *eyeroll. It’s okay, we still managed to record the podcast without her eventually. Go and listen if you have the time, it’s a good episode!!
This is what the kiddos were doing during/after we recorded our podcast. It was a fun, busy Sunday for sure!
Monday started off with more breakfast …
More Frozen 2 watching …
And then I ducked out of the house in the afternoon to get my nails done and celebrate a friend’s upcoming birthday. We had a girls’ night in and it was cozy, casual, and so chill – exactly what I needed to round out the long weekend!
Hubby showed me this picture after I got home on Monday night. Baby A looked so content to just be laying there on the couch next to her unni. E was singing a song to her. I looooove this and hope their bond only continues to grow stronger as they get older!
Have a good week, guys! Hopefully it’ll go by fast as it’s a shorter one!
