WE’RE GOING TO MAUI BABYYY!!!

Okay, let me back track and explain a bit –

We already have a trip to Hawaii planned this summer; originally we’d thought we’d be going to Maui for this year’s trip but when it came down to booking things (1) a lot of the types of places we’d want to stay were booked up for our dates and (2) it was INSANELY expensive (like double the price of going to another island). I think it’s because we have three kids so anywhere we go, we need to book two hotel rooms instead of one. We settled on Oahu for this year but in the back of our heads thought that Maui was still somewhere we’d like to take our kids soon.

Then, in end of February/beginning of March, this little mail offer arrived and it was for a crazy good deal to Maui. Whaaaat? The price was so low it would have been dumb to not jump on it. The original offer was only for two people so J & I were sort of thinking out loud, hmm I wonder if they’d be able to include our three kids in it and how much more the price would be.

Well skip ahead a few days and J is coming back from one of E’s after-school things with her. E comes into the house but J immediately is “working” in the garage. E says “daddy is on a call” … so I text him “hey, how long is your call going to be?”. No response. Okay, that’s not too odd, sometimes when he’s on a work call he doesn’t check his messages.

After about an hour, J comes bursting into the house and says, WE’RE GOING TO MAUI! 😂 I guess his “call”, which I’d assumed was a work call, was actually him on the phone with the Westin Maui. They were able to extend the package to include our kids so J booked it right there on the spot. The catch is … LOL, it’s one of those vacation club/time share presentation packages so we’ll have to sit through a 90 minute presentation once we’re there *yayyy…..*. That’s why the price was so stupidly good. Oh well!
