If you read my January book recap, you’ll remember that one of the books I read last month was centered around a married couple who decided to keep things exciting in their relationship by taking turns surprising one another. J & I thought this would be a fun thing to do with each other too so we decided on one surprise a month (from him for me). He said I should surprise him every other month so I might do that starting this month too. But! I wanted to show what my first surprise for the month of January was. It’s not super exciting but you know, let’s start slow, yes? 🥶

He handed this package to me while I was putting away laundry. I immediately knew it was a book by the shape and feel of it lol.

And a book it was! A gardening book 😂

It actually looks like a really informative book with lots of pretty pictures and stuff to browse through so this was thoughtful of him. I just laughed to myself though because as much as I love to read, “research” based reading is not my favorite so I’m not sure if this book will actually get used. But I love the thought! We had a good “first year” try with our front lawn garden last summer so I do have some ideas of what I’d like to keep and change with that. Maybe I’ll get more inspiration from this book!
