Have you ever spent a weekend doing absolutely nothing? That’s how I spent this past Memorial Day weekend. No plans, no obligations … there was lots of outdoor time together as a family and lots of eating good food – almost none of which I cooked (which made it even better). I wasn’t productive at all, not that I was trying to be. It felt nice to just be lazy with the husband and kiddos. The entire weekend was passed on a whim.
Sometimes autism can be a difficult thing to “do life” with. This past weekend wasn’t like that; I hardly thought at all about autism. I’m thankful.
