I recently took some time in the early evening to practice some self-care. This meant taking a long, hot shower and then putting on one of my favorite sheet masks by Farmacy for an extra boost. The kids were still awake but getting ready to head to bed as I chilled in my own bed with the mask on.

A came in looking for me. She couldn’t quite see my face from the angle I was laying down in but I told her to come into the room a bit further. I was dying to see what she’d think of my mask.

Immediately when she saw me, her big eyes got even bigger.

“Mommy … what IS that?”

“It’s my mask.”

“It’s your … mask?”

“Yea.”

There was a pause in the conversation here as I could see she was gazing at my face and really processing what she was seeing. Then suddenly, she broke out into a huge smile and gasped audibly – “I LOVE IT.”

BWAHAHAHAHA I swear, that girl …
