Last night I tried out a new (to me) polish and I just love it so much I thought I’d share it on the blog today! The shade is Essie’s First Timer polish and it’s a beautiful green that has hints of turquoise/blue in it. I can’t quite explain what kind of a green it is; it’s one of those greens that could almost be blue in the right lighting … but is still clearly green, not turquoise.

The formula is excellent; I sometimes find that Essie can be hit or miss with their polish formulas but this one was beautifully thick without being gloopy and application was even, almost self-leveling. I bought the polish on a whim while I was inside Walgreens but I’m so glad I picked it up! It’s been out for a few years and isn’t a new shade to Essie’s collection so if you want to grab one for yourself you should have no problem finding it. I added a little bit of gold glitter at the bottom of each nail for a fun bit of glitz on my manicure 🙂
