Madewell Summer Dress Haul!

I just purchased some new summer dresses and GUYS, they are so cute!! I love dresses for church or an easy date night look … sometimes I even gravitate towards a dress when all I’m doing is momming around at home. Why? Even though they might look “fancier”, they’re actually a much simpler outfit oftentimes than pairing shorts and a top. They’re what I used to call “one & done” looks back when I worked as a stylist – you throw this one piece of clothing on and you’re done getting dressed for the day. Plus, no waistband so SUPER COMFY, am I right?!

This first dress is the Madewell Linen-Cotton Side Button Midi Dress in white! I’ll be honest .. midi dresses, while ADORABLE, don’t tend to look great on me unless they fall JUST RIGHT (because I’m petite) and I don’t know that this dress nailed it. But if you’re taller than I am (I’m 5’2″) I say GO FOR IT! It’s super lightweight and comfy and who doesn’t love an easy, white dress during the summers?

Neeeeeext up is the Ruffle Trapeze Dress in Floral Reef. This one is SO comfortable … I’m kind of worried it looks like a mumu because it’s precisely SO COMFORTABLE? I don’t know, but this will definitely get a lot of wear for church as it’s got coverage in all the right places and the right length for my frame.

Third is the Allie Mini Dress in Gingham Check … I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with this dress as much as I did. I don’t know what it is about gingham that just screams strawberries and sunshine to me (probably the picnic basket print LOL) but I want nothing more than to put this dress on with a floppy hat and go frolic in the fields.

Ohhh mama. I was NOT prepared for this last dress, though. I loved everything that I ordered but I fell in love HARD with the Ruffle Sleeve Babydoll Dress. This is HAND DOWN my favorite out of the entire bunch … can’t you tell how much I’m feeling myself by the pose!? 😂
