I turned 37 this week. WOW I FEEL OLD. It’s the first birthday/age I’ve turned when I’ve actually … felt … old … LOL. Today’s Friday Favorite’s post will be a little mix of a birthday recap as well as favorites from the week.

First favorite this week…. starting my new job! So far I am loving working in the school library! Such a dream job for me. I’ll admit, it’s a bit odd being a conservative Christian in a public school with very liberal staff. Sometimes I feel like a mole in enemy territory 😂 but I’m asking the Lord to help me be bold when needed.

Next favorite is FRamily friends who are so willing to step in during a crisis and take ALL your kids for you, no hesitation. Yes, it was my birthday this week but it’s also been a very draining, emotional, dramatic week .. and a lot has happened behind the scenes that I won’t be discussing. Suffice to say, I am so thankful for friends like these!

Starting off your birthday morning with McDonald’s hashbrowns are always a favorite …

As are sweet treats delivered to my door from friends far and near! Ugh, I have the best people loving on me during this hard season 🤍

Fancy steak dinners with personalized birthday menus were a favorite …

And OMG, being spoiled by my little crew was a TOTAL favorite too! Cards & gifts from each of my babies, and little A wanted to “read” her card aloud to me 🥺🥺

J TOTALLY surprised me with a new goodie for my bag collection. I did not ask for this or expect this. I think I actually unwrapped the box not looking down at it (I was talking to my kids) so when I looked down finally and saw the LV Box, my face was 😳

He wrote in his card that he picked something “fun” and totally impractical … of course, I love the pink color. I had to take a picture the next day so you could see the pretty coral hue better; the dim lighting in the restaurant didn’t do it justice!

Post-kindergarten naps will always be a favorite I think. I have an entire album in my phone of pictures of A napping that I’m going to turn into a 2023 calendar soon HAHAHHA.

And finally, my last favorite this week has been watching little A walk Daisy to school in the mornings! She’s the best out of our three kids with the dogs. This little fierce thing is IN COMMAND! She gives Daisy’s leash a tight tug and says “HEEL!” whenever she starts to get out of pocket; I think Daisy totally understands now who is the boss on walks 😂

Happy weekend, friends! I am going to eat Din Tai Fung with one of my oldest besties (SO EXCITED!) and on Sunday, E is going to be singing at our local Art & Wine festival! If you’re local to us, come stop by on Sunday at noon!
