Another Friday, another Favorites post!

Guys … who loves a good book stack? ME! After my reading rut that I had last month, I am so looking forward to diving into this cozy stack of books this month. Having a bunch of good reads lined up and ready to go is always a favorite of mine!

2020 has been weird in all the ways and school has been no exception but I have been so proud at how my big two have handled all the changes and transitions. They both LOVE going to school in their pod and I think they’re benefiting from the structure outside of home + social interactions with peers they get. Doing school away from school with masks on isn’t how I would have pictured 1st & 4th grade but their attitudes and how well they’re learning is a favorite!

Speaking of school .. y’all know that A’s preschool reopened yesterday and PRAISE JESUS HALLELUJAH it’s a TOTAL FAVORITE that this little one has a place to go and get her wiggles out/learning on again. I picked her up from her first day back and her teacher said she was so happy all day, had the best attitude, sang songs, ate her lunch … I loved hearing that she had such a great time 🙂

I feel like my kids are all at a really sweet spot in their ages. This season that we’re in with our kids is a true favorite … the other day, I looked over at them while they were all eating dinner and just listening in on their little conversations and seeing their little relationships form made my heart swell with joy. It was such a mundane moment but life is made up of these mundane moments, you know?

ZOMG, the state of California is using a “tiered” system to classify which counties are able to reopen businesses in certain ways and for the longest time, our county was in the WORST level (purple). Well, we just moved up to red – which sounds bad (we’re in the red?) but is actually an improvement from where we were … and the best part is that it means that indoor nail salons and other similar businesses can REOPEN. My most FAVORITE nail salon EVER didn’t have the space to do outdoor services so I was making do with either at home mani/pedis or going to other random places that were open for outdoor services. But I just got word that they are reopening and I am so ecstatic, I have an appointment for next week already bwahahaha.

A was hanging out with Daddy in his garage office and he texted me this picture of them. HAHA, random but a favorite for sure.

That’s it! We’re having terrible air quality (again) due to the California wildfires nearby so we’re planning on staying indoors a lot this weekend … stay safe, guys!
