Friday Favorites! This was a good week because obviously, it started off with Monday being my 35th birthday. It kind of sucked to have my birthday on a Monday but also, is there a better way to start off a week? 🙂
So my first favorite this week is that I got an email saying that our podcast had reached 1000 podcast downloads! WHAT! I mean, this really shocked me because I’m pretty sure we only have a handful of regular listeners. How cool is that though!?
My second favorite has actually been all the 1:1 time that I’ve been able to spend with this nugget. She’s so snuggly when she has my undivided attention and we’ve been having lunch dates/running errands together and it’s been so sweet!
The mint cacao smoothie from Daily Harvest is DELICIOUS. I think you could drink this as a meal replacement if you added in some protein powder but I like it as a quick pick me up in between meals. It tastes like a slightly healthy Thin Mint cookie! (I’m not going to lie and say it tastes exactly like a Thin Mint cookie bc … I mean cmon, it’s still good for you haha).
This one is a bit blurry but omg goodness, how cute!? I don’t remember exactly what I was asking Kylo to do but I put out my fist for a fist bump and he put his PAW ON MY FIST! FAVORITE!
I’ve talked about Homer before but this app has been a serious lifesaver and is another favorite this week. It actually occupies A for however long I need her to be occupied AND she’s learning at the same time. I’m not kidding, she sat next to me and did the app independently for 90 minutes while I was doing my Bible study Zoom … and then later at the store she started pointing out random letters to me and identifying them correctly. SAY WHAT?!
After all the CA wildfires and seriously bad air (we’re talking unhealthy levels) we’ve been having, it’s been a FAVORITE that our AQI has finally improved, we can see blue skies, and my kids can play outside again. It’s also a favorite that A has been enjoying the kinetic sand table that I pulled together for her a few weeks ago. This thing is from Lakeshore Learning and had been in my cart all summer (sand, toys, table, lid) but I didn’t bite the bullet until after my big kids started school and A’s preschool closed. Look how proud she is at her “cake” she made!
If you follow me on IG, you’d know this already but this week I was featured in Alli Worthington’s Women Worth Following for the month of September! So that was super exciting and I even gained a couple new followers which is always a favorite 😉
That’s all! Hope you guys have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
