Is it just me or did the week go by so quickly? It must be because it was a short week this week!
Well, after our super fun weekend to the snow, I kicked off the week with a quick trip to TARGET. Man, I remember when a weekly trip to Target was literally the highlight of my life. Haha! This was when I only had one baby and E was maybe 1-2 years old. There was nothing to do … and Hubby was a law student, so buying a nail polish at Target felt so naughty HAHAH. I used to loooooove going to Target and perusing the aisles. I still do like that but I actually haven’t gone to Target in SO long and I’m finding that when I do make it out there, it’s for a very specific “something”. The only thing that I can get distracted by is kids’ clothes because let’s be real – their Cat & Jack line is freakin’ awesome.
Anyway, I had a little shopping buddy this day and she was totalllllly feeling herself with her little pink purse and her brother’s broken vtech watch. Her cuteness is my first FAVORITE this week! (I mean, I know she’s my kid but .. cute is cute, right? I might be biased hahaha)
While at Target, she discovered this plushy Elsa doll … I needed to look for something in the kids’ home decor section (toy storage bin) and she saw it and wouldn’t let it go. Le sigh – it’s ok 🙂 Seeing how it totally made her day was a favorite of mine.
And C’MON! Did you think I could buy one for baby A without buying one for her big sister, too? (And a Spiderman plushie for D?) E actually asked me to take a pic of her and her sister with their matching jammies and dolls … and then this was the best shot she gave me *eyeroll LOL
Lately, I feel like D has truly been making this shift from little boy to halfway-big-boy. He LOVES rough housing with his dad. He’s seriously like a tiny puppy just revving with energy and waiting to pounce on his daddy when he walks in the door from work. Thankfully, Hubby is more than happy to oblige. Obviously, he’s way bigger than D still so he usually wins but man … D plays dirty sometimes!
LOL so this next picture isn’t exactly a favorite of mine but … I’ve been doing SO well with my #75Hard challenge. I feel amazing. Like seriously, I feel like my bloat is gone, my skin looks clear, my mood is awesome, and I sleep like a baby at night. Getting in those two workouts every day means most days I HAVE to get up at 5:30am to make my 6am Bar Method class … and while that’s hard (see pic), I love how I feel after it’s done. If you’re not a morning person, I seriously challenge you to just try waking up early for two weeks and see if it changes your life or not. (You NEED to sleep early in order to feel amazing when you wake up in the morning, though.)
The gym parking lot being constantly full is also NOT a favorite but again, I’m so proud of myself for being consistent and disciplined and that IS a favorite. Ugh, this is literally at 5:45 am – why is the parking lot so full? I had to park way off to the side and walk in the dark 🙁 But no worries… I know half these people will stop coming in February hahaha.
OMG – my gomo (auntie) recently had a bunch of her old pictures digitized so she’s been texting me random gems all week and SHE HAD MY OLD CHEER PICTURE from when I was in 8th grade LOL!!!! I thought I was … SO COOL but I look like such a baby here. I think I must have been 13 years old. Don’t I look like I’m 9!?
I used this sheet mask by Farmacy this week and it’s a new favorite of mine! Look how plump my skin looked after!! I have literally zero makeup on in the picture on the right (and NO filter/photo editing!). It’s post-mask and with my night time skin care added on top <3
So, baby A usually LOVES going to school – like she won’t even look back at me, she just runs in and says “BYE MOM!” but lately she’s been super clingy and whiny. I think maybe being home during winter break with me every day set her back a bit? It’s so unlike her but I’ve just been dropping her off crying every day at school these days (she always perks up within a few minutes the teachers say, and she’s always SUPER happy when I come get her at the end of the day). Yesterday, though, her preschool friend H came running to greet her when we walked into class and baby A was so down for it. She immediately said hi, hugged her, and then LEFT ME. It was a definitely favorite to see her happy at school again!
That’s it for this week, happy Fri-YAY everyone!
