I can’t believe February is already here 🥺There are so many memes online about how January is 1000 days long and feels like forever but in actuality, it totally flew by for me. Anyway, here is my first Friday Favorites for February!
First up, I’ve really been loving the cuticle oil & nail strengthener combo that I talked about in my last post. As much as I love fun press-ons and manicures, it also feels good to see my nails healthy and strong.
My next favorite is kind of a 2 in 1… I’ve been REALLY enjoying our new Peloton. I actually haven’t taken many classes on it yet; my favorite thing to do is either watch a show on Netflix while I power walk OR use this super cool treadmill desk attachment I got on Amazon to walk while I work.
Speaking of Netflix shows, I know I mentioned this in my last What’s Up Wednesday post but Our Beloved Summer!!! It’s so good 🥺 It’s been a favorite to indulge in watching this show on a lunch break or while walking on the treadmill.
I’ve been on the hunt for a good Bible pen (a pen to use inside my Bible). I’m super particular about the pens I use to write in my Bible such as I can’t STAND bleedthrough, I want it to be black, it must be a super fine tip, etc etc. So far, the only one I’ve liked is the Pigma Micron pens in .003 tip but the issue I have with that one is that the tips wear down REALLY quickly. I did a little internet hunting and found these micro point pens from Pilot … they are SO GOOOOOD. I’m super excited about them … fingers crossed, the tips last longer than the Pigma Microns.
OHHH MYYY, so remember how I mentioned last month that I’ve recently become obsessed with true crime podcasts? I finished listening to To Live & Die in LA and it was so gooooood. I binge listened to the entire first season. There’s a second season too (different crime) but I wanted to take a break from it and listen to something else so right now I’m listening to Season 1 of Paper Ghosts which is more of a cold case type show. If true crime podcasts are your thing, give one or both those shows a listen. Also, for what it’s worth, I was talking about To Live & Die in LA with someone today and they said season 2 is actually BETTER than season 1 so if you really want something fun to listen to, start with that maybe.
I also have really been loving my February bullet journal spread this month! If you didn’t know, I do keep a bullet journal that I update pretty regularly. I know lots of people enjoy bullet journaling for productivity but I actually use mine more for memory keeping/scrapbooking/personal stuff. Since it’s just for my eyes, I don’t typically put too much pressure on a theme or artsy doodles but once in awhile if I’m feeling into it I will. This month, I drew inspiration from some super cute washi tape I had and I really love how it turned out! Totally unexpected favorite for this week.
Speaking of unexpected favorites, I’ve never tried Fenty cosmetics but got sucked into trying this Fenty Eaze Drop Skin Tint and the Freestyle Cream Blush off a TikTok I saw … I bought the skin tint in shade 2 and was curious to try it because it’s supposed to look super natural and give your face a “flawless glow” type look. 😮 I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I do! I tried it yesterday for the first time ever and am soooo excited to keep wearing this to really see if I continue to love it as much as I do right now. The cream blush is in the shade Strawberry Drip and is super pretty on my skin too but the real star is the skin tint IMO.
And last favorite for this week – my hair! I had my monthly toner yesterday and asked for something a little warmer and darker to match the cold weather we’ve been having. I’ve had blonde/ashy for a REALLY long time and I think I’ll still do that in the summer months but for winter, I wanted something a bit more dramatic. This is what my colorist mixed up for me and I love it so much! It reminds me more of my natural hair color (obviously still highlighted but… you get what I mean). What do you think?
