I feel like it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a Friday Favorites (right?) and my FIRST FAVORITE this week is that Starbucks’ holiday drinks and RED CUPS are baaaaaaack!! My go-to order lately has been a peppermint mocha with oat milk and I like to get the short size because it’s small enough to not make you feel guilty about the indulgent coffee treat 😂
My second favorite this week is slightly related… I sat inside a Starbucks to get some work done for the first time in …. FOREVER. Like, I genuinely don’t even remember when the last time that I did that was. It was soooo nice! I did have to show proof of vaccination to sit in but that’s not a big deal for me personally. It was nice to just be in a coffeeshop environment. It was super icky and rainy outside which made it even better 🙂 I had to leave the house because we had cleaning ladies over so staying home wasn’t an option.
My next favorite has been this La Mer Radiant SkinTint that I talked about in my Sephora Holiday Recs post! I forgot to take a picture with me wearing it (and I’m currently typing this on Thursday night with no makeup on) so all I have is this swatch … but it’s so good. It’s definitely only the level of coverage that a tinted moisturizer would provide but with the most beautiful glow. Plus it has SPF included so that’s an extra bonus. Sephora is still running their Holiday Event Promo right now (up to 20% off sitewide depending on your rewards level) so if you’re thinking about grabbing this, grab it now! I’m in the shade Light if that’s helpful.
It’s been drizzly and kind of cold this week so I broke in this Avec Les Filles puffer jacket that I bought during the Nordstrom anniversary sale this summer. LOOOOVE! I got so many compliments on it 😂 Lots of comments about how I looked like a soft marshmallow and guys … I felt like a soft marshmallow. IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. This jacket felt like wearing a cloud. FAAAVORITE!
The 2021 Olive & June advent calendar arrived this week and look how beautiful the box is 🤩 I can’t wait to start busting into this baby come December 1. I had their advent calendar last year and it was definitely worth the money! Holiday stuff is always a favorite for me 🙂
Speaking of holiday stuff, I decided to change things up a tad for my holiday card display this year. The last couple of years, I have hung/taped cards we’ve received on the side of our fireplace. It’s fine but it can look a little cluttered by the end of the season and tape doesn’t stick very well to the brick fireplace so I’d always have random cards falling off here & there. This year, I bought this twinkle light card holder from Pottery Barn and it’s perfeeccction!! I wasn’t sure where or how I’d hang this because it’s so wide but it worked out perfectly as a wrap-around the entire side & back of our fireplace. I used clear command hooks to hang it up. I CAN’T WAIT TO GET Y’ALLS CARDS!
And my last favorite this week is the front porch Christmas decor I’ve got going on. I’m not completely done yet … still have a few garlands left to hang but this corner of it is done and I’m obsessed. It’s my first year to have that little tree on the front porch (it’s usually in my living room) but I love how it looks with the red tree collar. AND LOOK AT THIS NEW DOORMAT from Anthropologie that I got!!! Ahhhhhhhh! We love Jesus but we definitely do Santa in this house (a modified version) so I had to have it when I saw it.
Theeeeee end! Guys … I have had the most insane week with a rollercoaster of emotions and ups & downs. I’ll explain it all next week (in two separate posts, I’m thinking) so … hold onto your horses and make sure to check back. I promise you won’t want to miss it 😉
