You guys .. I haven’t done a beauty review on this blog in a SUPER long time but this product needs to be raved about. It’s this Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment from Sephora. And it’s magical – you need it in your life.

So let me backtrack a bit and let me explain what I was looking for that led me to this product. With the pandemic and mask wearing pretty much required anytime you step out of your house, I like most people, have taken to NOT wearing makeup on the lower half of my face. For one, nobody will see it, and for two, I hate how it gets all over my mask. Unfortunately, I’ve also been suffering from terrible maskne and have maskne discoloration/scarring in the same area so anyone who has to see me in a Zoom call or without a mask gets to see my maskne scars in all their glory. It’s not that big of a deal but I started hunting for something that could maybe give some slight coverage without making a mess all over my mask.

After some internet sleuthing, aka just searching through Sephora’s website, I came across this product that I really hadn’t heard anything about. It’s not quite a BB cream or CC cream texture – it’s way lighter than that and it’s supposed to be used as part of your skincare routine, not as makeup. But HOLY MOLY, it color corrects your skin so beautifully. Don’t get me wrong, you might still need some concealer (I put some under my eyes) and your skin will definitely be far from perfect BUT it has that “my skin but better” delivery. FOR SURE. Excuse my bloated weekend morning face, but these two photos were taken a minute apart with ONLY the color correcting treatment applied – no other makeup. You can see it sort of blurs the discoloration and correct the slight redness around my nose. This stuff is a DREAM, you guys! The best part is it doesn’t smear all over my mask, it literally just feels like a last step to my morning skincare routine. If you don’t have this in your life yet, y’all need to go out and buy some asap. It’s perfect for no-makeup days when you really don’t want to put makeup on but you also don’t want to be walking around completely bare-faced. I’m obsessed with this stuff and it also layers beautifully if you did want to put some actual makeup on top to really make your skin perfect.
