I have been on a dewy skin kick for awhile now and recently have discovered some AMAZING products that have been crucial in helping me achieve that natural yet glowy look every day.
For a bit of context, I prefer my makeup to look more natural than not. On a day-to-day basis, I don’t typically wear foundation but opt for primers or creams that help to blur imperfections naturally and enhance your glow. One of the best ways I’ve found to get that “great skin” look is .. well, to have great skin LOL. You honestly can’t fake with makeup what naturally beautiful skin looks like IMO.
My top tip is actually to hydrate & drink lots of water, followed by making sure you’re sleeping enough and thirdly that you’re wearing a daily SPF. But AFTER all those things, these are my top products to use to amp up what God already gave you.
My first favorite for getting that dewy skin look is this Ole Henriksen Glow2OH dark spot toner. I tested this out for 7 days and showed before/after results on IG and was shocked at how effective it was. This thing is AMAZING for brightening your overall face, getting rid of hyperpigmentation spots, and improving your skin’s texture. I thought I was just buying it to test out for social media but was surprised at how much I fell in love with it. It’s definitely a regular part of my nightly skincare routine now!
This innisfree dewy glow jelly cream moisturizer was another TikTok find and was SO hard to grab at Sephora – it was constantly sold out. But good news for you… at the time of writing this post, it’s available. It’s super lightweight, has a refreshing scent and I think it’s a great way to add some moisture back into your skin before doing your makeup.
HOHOHO, I think out of *all* the new-ish skincare that I’ve been trying lately, these niacinamide dew drops by Glow Recipe are my #1 FAVORITE. GIRL! These give you that instantly plump and dewy look that your skin wants TRUST MEEEE, RUN! don’t walk to get this! The website says you can use it as a little highlighter for extra glow but I honestly use it as a primer right after all my skincare. It’s the perfect base for my under-eye concealer and keeps your skin looking super glowy and healthy.
Last is a true makeup find (versus skincare) and it’s the cult-favorite Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. I think this product has been around for awhile; I feel like I’ve been hearing it buzzed about for a few years now. This stuff is so cool! It really does give a blurred effect to your face and I imagine it would be gorgeous layered under your foundation. I actually just wear this alone! It gives the perfect little oomph of natural glow and I like it over my concealer as a natural finish to my face makeup. I’m in the shade 4 Medium FYI.
That’s it! These are the star players of my morning skincare/makeup routine that I’ve been reaching for again and again recently. Let me know if you give any of these a try!
