LOOOOOK!!! Have you guys heard of Cultivate What Matters? They’re a faith-based stationery company that I recently discovered on Instagram! I saw that they have these “Write the Word’ scripture journals for both adults and kids and was immediately curious to get my hands on some.
These “Write the Word” journals are basically scripture memory journals. It looks like each book has a theme and the verses included in that journal all center around that theme. They have a ton of different options for women and two for kids (I bought both of the kids’ journals and gave one to my 4th grader and the other to my 1st grader).
The kids’ ones are freaking adorable. I know Easter already passed but these would have been great Easter gifts. The kids’ journals follow more of a coloring book style with big open doodles that kids can fill in along with little journaling prompts (ie: Draw something that makes you happy!) and a verse that they can copy.
The point of these journals is to encourage scripture memorization which is so cool IMO! I struggle with memorizing scripture … even some of my most FAVORITE verses that have carried me through some really difficult trials have a hard time sticking in my memory. I bought two different versions of the adult journals because I couldn’t decide what I wanted – the colors are so pretty! The inside of the adult journals also have really pretty little details like pressed gold foil, as you can see below. Pretty much every single page of the journals is identical – there’s a different scripture reference on the left side that you can write down for memorization and then a little space for journaling on the right side.
These journals seem really basic and simple … like, I mean, if you wanted to, you could definitely just DIY your own into a pretty notebook BUUUUUT! I think it’s cool that these journals already have different verses pulled for you that center around the theme of that particular journal. I haven’t started using mine yet but I JUST finished my Women’s Bible study that I was doing with my church (we’re off for the summer) so I thought this could be a great way to supplement my QT’s until Bible study resumes again in the fall.
Have you heard of this company? Do you struggle with scripture memorization like me? 😜 These journals are made for you then, friend!
