10 on 10 is a post where I post 10 pictures from the 10th of every month!
So, I’m still trying really hard to readjust to life now that we have Kylo with us. It’s definitely been a transition – one that I think I wasn’t as prepared for as I could have been. I’ve been slowly trying to ease back into my normal routines but it’s definitely baby steps right now!
With the coronavirus threat right now, Hubby has been working from home basically every day … it’s not so much because his office is at risk or that he’s scared of San Francisco but he has to commute into the city on the BART and that is kind of icky and gross to be on when there’s a super contagious virus floating around lol.
Speaking of viruses – today started with something totally unexpected. Lots of vomit from THIS little lady!
one
She got up for the day and immediately came to tell me that she needed to throw up. Being the idiot that I am, I told her to sit at the kitchen table and drink a bit of water. *Facepalm – she probably would have vomited eventually anyway but drinking the water made her INSTANTLY throw up. And it came up in gurgles and waves, guys *blech. Basically she threw up her entire dinner from the night before and said her stomach hurt a little bit still. I obviously had to keep her home from school but since Hubby is home with us right now, too, it actually wasn’t too bad to have her home.

So, I left her with daddy at home and left to take baby A to her dance class. I put in a new bow that I just received from Wunderkin and it was so pretty, I couldn’t help snapping a pic of it!

After dance class, we headed back home where puppy duties awaited me. I’m trying to crate train Kylo but when we’re at home, I don’t mind him being out of his crate as long as he stays near me and doesn’t go off to a corner to do some sneaky bathroom business. I remember doing this with Spartan when he was a puppy but I decided to just leash Kylo by the refrigerator so I can keep an eye on him while I make lunch/do dishes/etc. It was working so beautifully until he peed right in that spot -_____- at least it wasn’t hidden away under a chair or somewhere where I didn’t see it happen.

After the accident, I put him into his little pen so I could eat lunch in peace. He has a bigger area in the playroom where his actual crate for sleeping is but this little pen is just for when we’re eating meals and he wants to be close to us. We don’t have room to put a bigger one in that area but it doesn’t seem to bother him either way.

I’m also happy to say that pretty much after the morning vomit, E was fine for the rest of the day. Obviously, I kept her on fluids and was slow to reintroduce solid foods but she was hungry and happy. I let her play some Osmo on her iPad and D was so excited to just stand and watch her play lol.

I also got some work done in the afternoon .. it can be hard to work from home sometimes but I’m thankful for the opportunity and flexibility this job gives me. It’s nice to just have a little something on the side that doesn’t involve talking to children all day long.

Later in the afternoon, I had to take D to taekwondo – again, I’ll reiterate: it’s been SO nice to have Hubby home these days! Normally, I’d have to drag baby A too or on a day like today, maybe just skip TKD since big sister is sick. But it wasn’t even an issue today since I had an extra adult to tag-team with at home, and I even got to bring a book and read a bit while D was in class!

It’s Tuesday so dinner tonight was Taco Tuesday! I tried to add some random vegetables on the plate for my kids … my older two really love vegetables but baby A does NOT. I negotiated her eating the cucumber in exchange for a mini muffin once she was done …she was brave and tried but DID NOT LIKE IT LOL.

We also practiced our winks during dinnertime 😉

Last – look at this shot of the sky that Hubby took from our backyard. Doesn’t the sky just look so apocalyptic? We’re living in some strange times, guys, some straaaange times.
Stay safe and healthy! Remember .. 20 seconds of hand washing with warm, soapy water!
