I woke up bright & early with pimple cream on my nose … I hardly ever get breakouts on my nose but of course I’d get one this week. OF COURSE. BECAUSE IT’S MY BIRTHDAY in a few days and I have fun plans to celebrate this weekend so OF COURSE A BIG SHINER HAD TO COME OUT TODAY. yay 😂

I put on my third set of press-on nails since discovering the magic of these babies… someone told me these are a very “Socal” vibe and I have to agree… but I also can’t stop looking at them. At this point I am fully aware of how impractical these are and how impossible they make it to do the most basic mom things but they’re so pretty that I DO NOT CARE.

After a whole week of triple-digit weather, I woke up and it was raining this morning. Albeit a warm rain but still, RAIN! Kylo looked like the rain was bothering him while he was outside so I put this yellow raincoat on him… and he was not happy. He kept trying (and failing) to chew it off himself hahahaaha.

My mornings when all the kids are at school are my most precious, valuable hours. Depending on what’s on my schedule that day, I might be spending that time running around (like yesterday, when I was volunteering at the school) or I might be working on content stuff for this blog/my IG. Today was the latter…. this is what it looks like being my own photographer LOL. I need to find a friend who is also an amazing photographer who will shoot this stuff for me.

I also worked a little on editing my Hawaii vlog that will be going up on my YouTube channel. I really want to get this video up SOON but I don’t know why… YouTube videos intimidate me. I can whip out videos for IG like no problem but YouTube feels like more pressure for some insane reason.

I met up with a new friend from church for lunch today … she lives in the same school district as me so we met up in downtown for lunch & coffee afterward! This is the only picture I remembered to take though because she’s a new friend and I didn’t want to weird her out by whipping out my phone in the middle of our lunch 😂

After lunch, I came home and J & I went out to fill up the gas in my car and get …. MORE COFFEE 💀 Listen, you can never have too much coffee! We sat on our front patio and had a short little coffee break date together. I LOVE having my husband work from home 🙂

D had soccer practice after school so he & I went out to that before dinner … the sky was so pretty and weather so perfect for soccer!

While I was waiting, I was scrolling on TikTok and saw that this Bridgerton concept album was released. I follow Barlow & Bear on TikTok and saw the whole inception of this concept album – it started with one song and then eventually expanded to a whole album inspired by the series. If you’ve watched Bridgerton/are a fan, YOU NEED TO GIVE THIS ALBUM A LISTEN! It’s just the two of them on the entire album (yes, even singing the men’s parts and stuff) because it’s a “concept album” and due to licensing rights and such, they can’t make it an actual musical soundtrack type thing but I think that’s their eventual goal in the future.

After dinner, we ended the evening with a family Mario Kart tournament! We all know that really it was just a race between J & I .. alas, he won every single round! Even the races where I was in 1st, he’d always somehow manage to finagle his way at the last minute to the finish line before me. HARUMPH. It was fun playing all together though .. A didn’t play and just did her own thing next to us.
